AstroPi Mission Space Lab 2023

AstroPi Mission Space Lab is a competition where students from all over Europe need to code a computer to investigate life inside the modulus Columbus module in the ISS. Our team, made of students from several departments such as Art, Psychology, Chemistry and IT made a modulus as close as possible to the one in the ISS and analyzed students that were closed inside for 48h. Our modulus is going to be displayed from November 2023 until April 2024 at Pavilhão do Conhecimento, a Portuguese museum whose President contacted us to know more about our project. As a student from the IT Department, I coded our computers to analyze sunlight, temperature, humidity, etc. From this project, I learnt how to work with people from several parts of our school, how to communicate and how to code an AstroPi, a computer that is in the ISS. CanSat Portugal 2023, 10th Edition

CanSat is a national competition where you develop a satellite with the dimensions of a soda can. The satellite needs to have two missions, a primary mission and a secondary mission. The primary mission is the same to everyone, it is reading the temperature and atmospheric pressure values. However, the secondary mission is a team decision, so it is different for everyone. We decided to generate energy from the heat dissipated from our electrical components through a thermoelectric generator, and also to make it out of cork, since it is a sustainable material and a good thermo isolator. We went to the Portugal´s final, therefore my team was top15. As for myself, I was the team leader and the programmer for CanACork. In this project, I learnt how to manage a team, how to deliver products in a very limited time, acquired skills in critical-thinking, decision making and how to code an Arduino. Check out the GitHub

Co-Founder and Python Teacher
at StørmAcademy

I am the Co-Founder at StørmAcademy. In StørmAcademy we believe that coding is the future, therefore everyone needs to have skills in this area. For this, we decided to create a platform where you can have fun by learning how to code. In our website, you have tutorials for different programming languages and we also have assigned teachers for every student. I am also a Python Teacher there. At Størm, I developed skills in different areas such as team leading, communication, designing a product and delivering it as designed.

SOS Programmer at Civil Cultural

At Civil Cultural, I was a SOS Programmer, which means I got contacted by other programmers who needed help in their tasks. I was mainly a support for other developers. Here I developed skills in communication, being familiar with syntaxes from other languages that I don´t know how to code in, understanding problems that are passed to me and problem-solving.

Discord Helper at Coding Servers

I am a helper and a moderator in servers related to programming which have 10k+ members. I mostly help people who have doubts in coding challenges and Python or C++ problems and questions. It was in here where some freelancing clients reached out to me. I acquired skills in critical-thinking, problem-solving, understanding people and coding.
